June Garden Color Palette

Thirty colors pulled from an early summer garden: deep leaf greens climbing up to soft pea and celery, butter and honey golds, a run of peony pinks from blush to plum, and a cool sky blue family for shade. The greens and golds make good backgrounds and foliage, the pinks handle flowers and lettering, and the warm oat and gray-tan neutrals hold it all together. Nice for wedding invitations, seasonal planner stickers, and summer garden illustrations.

How to open your file

These are palette files, not documents. Most apps load them from their swatches panel rather than from File, Open.

Procreate .swatches

  1. Download the file on your iPad.
  2. Tap it in Files or in Safari downloads.
  3. Procreate opens and the palette appears at the top of your Palettes list.

Illustrator .ase

  1. Window, then Swatches.
  2. Open the panel menu, the small lines at the top right of the panel.
  3. Open Swatch Library, then Other Library, then pick the .ase.

Opening the file from File, Open will say "unknown format". That is normal for every .ase.

Photoshop .ase

  1. Window, then Swatches.
  2. Open the panel menu at the top right of the panel.
  3. Import Swatches, then pick the .ase.

Affinity Designer and Photo .ase

  1. Open the Swatches panel.
  2. Open the panel menu, then Import Palette, then As Document Palette.

GIMP, Krita and Inkscape .gpl

  1. Open the palette panel or docker.
  2. Import, then pick the .gpl. In GIMP you can also drop it into your palettes folder.
